  “Sometimes a book just clicks. I enjoyed The Tainted Cup and A Drop of Corruption a fair amount, and thought they were creative procedural murder mysteries set in an interesting world led by a fun Watson and Holmes-sort of duo. Whereas I enjoyed those, I loved A Trade of Blood. It's hard to pinpoint exactly why. So there. It just clicked. The murder case wasn't a huge surprise (I guessed the motive early on), though well put together. It progressed in a satisfying way, and was paced well.
