  “I have to give The Calamity Club a four-star review based on the first half alone, because it completely sucked me in...even though my local library's 1600 person queue finally caught up with me and forced me to hand the book back right as things were getting good. ​The writing is sharp, the dialogue has real teeth to it, and the atmosphere feels both heavy and remarkably lively. It's frustrating to have had my momentum killed by an automated due date, but honestly, it was good enough that I'm not even mad.
